Demystifying the science behind targeted treatments and immunotherapies for gynaecological cancers


Format: 
This is a half-day course held in the afternoon only. It is a live, in-person event with the option of attending virtually.

Description: In this course, Elaine provides an overview of the biology and genetics of ovarian, endometrial, cervical, vulval and vaginal cancers. She will also explain the science behind various treatment approaches for these diseases, including relevant targeted therapies and immunotherapies and approaches in trials. Because of their importance, Elaine will pay particular attention to the use of PARP inhibitors to treat women with ovarian cancer.

Audience: This content is ideal for research nurses, clinical nurse specialists, pharmacists and clinical trials coordinators. It may also be of interest to other healthcare professionals involved in the diagnosis and treatment of women with gynaecological cancers.
