    Targeted treatments & Immunotherapies for Haematological Cancers

    Description: In this study day Elaine describes the unique cellular and genetic features of haematological cancers and explains the science behind a diverse range of targeted treatments for leukaemias, lymphomas and multiple myeloma.

    For each disease , Elaine explains the relevant treatments, including a wide range of monoclonal antibodies, T cell engagers and other antibody-based treatments, as well as B cell receptor signalling blockers, and inhibitors of Bcl-2 and FLT3. She explores the potential of immunotherapy with CAR T cells, focusing on ALL, NHL and myeloma.
    Audience: Ideal for pharmacists, research nurses, people from pharmaceutical companies, junior doctors or anyone who has been on one of Elaine's other courses. Requires a basic understanding of cancer genetics and cancer cell biology.
