An introduction to immunotherapy: what it is, how it works, and who it’s given to.
During this half day course, Elaine will introduce the science behind modern cancer immunotherapies for solid tumours and haematological cancers.
Topics covered include: the relationship between cancer and the immune system, the mechanism of action of checkpoint inhibitors, an overview of immunotherapies given to patients with haematological cancers, including CAR T cell therapy and T cell engagers.
Delivery: This is a half-day course presented live, online. The videos will be available to watch after the event.
Audience: Ideal for anyone with any level of understanding of cell biology and who works with cancer patients, data or treatments.
