About Science Communicated Ltd
Through her company, Science Communicated Ltd, Elaine offers study days, webinars, online modules, seminars and keynotes on cancer biology and the science behind cancer drugs.
Elaine has a library of pre-prepared materials on many topics and she’s always happy to create bespoke materials for individual clients.
As well as delivering colourful Powerpoint presentations, Elaine also uses work sheets, exercises and group work to break up her courses. These give people an opportunity to test out their new knowledge in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Elaine is experienced in teaching people with any level of scientific or medical knowledge from cancer patients through to medical oncologists.
Elaine has a degree in Medical Science from the University of Birmingham and a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Manchester. She also has fifteen years of experience in communicating science to a wide range of audiences.
She has worked as a science communicator for three of the UK’s leading medical research charities, including four years in the Science Information team at Cancer Research UK. In 2011 Elaine left London and the charity sector to run Science Communicated Ltd full-time and she is now based in Manchester.
When training, Elaine’s energetic and approachable style ensures that delegates not only gain new knowledge and insight, but also have a hunger to learn more.
Alongside delivering courses, Elaine is currently writing a book ‘A Beginner’s Guide to Targeted Cancer Treatments’, which is due to be published in 2018.
